Data Center

MIS Choice maintains its own Wall Street Data Center located in Chicago area, IL. The facility has fully redundant connectivity and world-class architecture with state-of-the-art monitoring and security systems. The infrastructure is built upon industry-leading technology from Microsoft, IBM and Cisco . MIS Choice maintains its own facility and therefore is able to test and monitor all aspects of the data center to ensure that everything is working correctly. MIS does not co-locate with another provider.

Our Wall Street Data Center is strategically located on CBS' 45Mpbs backbone via Cooketech and ANET with backup access . These connections, together with the extensive public and private peering arrangements and backup access, are designed to maximize Internet reach, bandwidth capacity and to optimize performance.

The Wall Street Data Center is supervised on a 24/7 basis by skilled network technicians and analysts, who continuously monitor the data center network infrastructure for any signs of problems. Automated features as well as customized options help network managers to predict - and often, resolve - problems before they arise.
MIS Choice also performs additional testing as needed, provides network technical support and online help, answers trouble calls, monitors the backup and archiving of server content to offsite backup tapes, and stages and installs the servers within the data center.

Power Systems

To ensure that all servers, monitoring equipment, and infrastructure are fully protected during a power failure, our Data Center is equipped with redundant AC and DC power feeds with a backup system. This includes generators to support the Data Center in case of utility power failure. The stand-by diesel generators are provided at redundant capacity and have 24 hours fuel capacity stored on site.

Fire Systems

Wall Street Data Center is equipped with fully redundant fire detection and suppression systems. These include an additional cross-zoned fire detection system, smoke and heat detectors and the ozone-safe FM200 waterless fire suppression system (without damage to equipment, unlike water or dry chemical systems)

Environmental Controls

Redundant cooling, heating and humidity controls, as well as antistatic flooring, keep servers in an optimum operating environment.
